Color Lab for Ages 2-4
Mix colours like a scientist.
Color Lab works in both directions: it shows two colours and asks what they make, or shows a result and asks which two colours made it. Running the question backwards is what turns colour mixing from a memorised list into something the child can reason about.
The 2-4 level runs six rounds instead of eight, sticks to the simplest primary mixes, and offers fewer choices so there is less to rule out.
What it teaches
- Primary and secondary colours
- Predicting the result of mixing two colours
- Working backwards from a result to its parts
- Colour naming and vocabulary
How to play
- Look at the two colour blobs and the question.
- Decide what colour they would make if mixed.
- Tap your answer from the choices below.
- Other rounds show the result and ask what went into it.
