Coin Counter for Ages 8-10

Count the coins and make the change.

Coin Counter asks the child to add up a handful of coins, identify a named coin, or choose the coins that make a given amount. Money is the most common place children meet addition outside a classroom, and coins are awkward in a useful way: their value has nothing to do with their size.

The 8-10 level uses the full set of coins, counts groups of up to seven, and adds make-this-amount rounds where the child chooses the coins themselves.
