Number Crunch for Ages 8-10

Count what you see, then tap the number.

Number Crunch shows a group of objects and asks how many there are. It is the bridge between saying number words out loud and recognising written numerals: the child has to count a real set, then pick the digit that matches. The picture set changes between rounds so the counting stays about the quantity rather than a memorised image.

The 8-10 level counts to twenty, adds skip counting in 10s, and includes flash rounds where the group appears only briefly, so the child has to estimate or subitise rather than count one at a time.

How to play

  1. Look at the group of objects on the screen.
  2. Count them carefully. Pointing at the screen helps.
  3. Tap the number that matches how many you counted.
