Sort It Out for Ages 5-7

Put everything where it belongs.

Sort It Out gives the child labelled groups and a set of items to place into them. Sorting is one of the earliest forms of mathematical thinking: before a child can count a set, they have to be able to decide what belongs in it.

The 5-7 level uses group rules that need working out rather than recognising, with items that could plausibly go either way at first glance.

How to play

1. Read the group labels at the top.
2. Look at the item you have been given.
3. Tap the group it belongs in.
