Sort It Out for Ages 8-10

Put everything where it belongs.

Sort It Out gives the child labelled groups and a set of items to place into them. Sorting is one of the earliest forms of mathematical thinking: before a child can count a set, they have to be able to decide what belongs in it.

The 8-10 level sorts by properties rather than by obvious category, so the child has to test each item against a rule instead of recognising a type.

How to play

1. Read the group labels at the top.
2. Look at the item you have been given.
