What happens first?
Story Order gives the child a short sequence of events out of order and asks them to put it right. Working out that the seed goes in the ground before the flower appears is cause-and-effect reasoning, and it is the same skill that later lets a child summarise a book or follow a set of instructions.
The 2-4 level uses very short sequences of everyday routines, with the picture slots drawn at their largest so the order is easy to see at once.
