Story Order for Ages 8-10

What happens first?

Story Order gives the child a short sequence of events out of order and asks them to put it right. Working out that the seed goes in the ground before the flower appears is cause-and-effect reasoning, and it is the same skill that later lets a child summarise a book or follow a set of instructions.

The 8-10 level uses longer chains where several orderings look plausible until the child reasons through what has to come first.
